Editorial policy
How this guide is written, what evidence standard it applies, how prices are presented, and the single commercial relationship it discloses.
Published by Northbank Media. Last reviewed 2026-07-31. Information only. This site is not a clinic and gives no medical advice.
We state the quality of the evidence rather than only its conclusions, we invent nothing, we give prices as indicative ranges rather than quotations, and we name no product because the composition of these preparations cannot be independently verified.
The only commercial relationship on this site is that enquiries submitted through the enquiry form are passed to a registered UK practitioner, and that is disclosed above the form fields rather than in a footer.
How we handle evidence
We state the quality of the evidence, not only its conclusions. A finding from a laboratory study is described as a laboratory study. A small uncontrolled human study is described as small and uncontrolled. Where the comparison needed to answer a question has not been run, we say that it has not been run rather than reporting the result of the weaker study that was.
We do not invent studies, authors, sample sizes or statistics, and we do not attach numbers to claims that have not been measured. Where a reader would expect a figure and none reliably exists, the page says so. That happens frequently on this subject and it is not a gap in the writing.
Where UK data does not exist
There is no national registry collecting outcomes for exosome treatments in aesthetics or hair, no professional body publishing aggregate results, and no appraisal of the treatment for cosmetic use by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Rather than substituting a figure from elsewhere, we state the absence. An absence of data is itself information and it belongs on the page.
How prices are presented
All prices are indicative ranges for the United Kingdom in 2026. They are not quotations, not averages and not attributed to any named clinic. Ranges are given because the treatment is not standardised and a single figure would imply a precision that does not exist. Where London differs materially, we say so. See the cost page.
Products and manufacturers
We name no exosome product and endorse none. This site covers the treatment category. Naming products would imply a comparative assessment we are not in a position to make, since the composition of these preparations cannot be independently verified. That rule has no exceptions.
The regulatory position
The regulatory position appears on every page where it is relevant, not only on the page dedicated to it. It is stated in plain terms: no exosome product holds a UK marketing authorisation as an injectable medicine for aesthetic or hair indications. Readers are directed to the MHRA for the current position, because regulation moves and a published page can go out of date.
Language
- British English throughout.
- No claim that a treatment is proven, validated or backed by science unless that is accurate under the ordinary meaning of those words.
- No urgency, no scarcity and no persuasion techniques. There is no deadline on an elective decision.
- Uncertainty described as uncertainty, in the same sentence as the claim rather than in a footnote.
External sources
External links go to institutional sources only: the MHRA, the General Medical Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners, Save Face, NICE and the British Association of Dermatologists. We do not link to clinics, suppliers or commercial content, and all external links carry a nofollow attribute.
Commercial disclosure
Enquiries submitted through the enquiry page are passed to a registered UK practitioner. This is disclosed above the form fields, on this page and in the footer of every page. There is no advertising, no affiliate income, no sponsored content and no paid placement, and no practitioner has any influence over what is published.
Every page carries one of two disclosure blocks and there is no third category. Two articles name an external business once and link to it, and those pages state that the link is editorial, that it was not sold, exchanged or paid for, and that the business had no sight of the article before publication. Every other page states that it contains no commercial links at all. We do not sell links, placements, reviews or coverage.
Review and correction
Pages carry a review date. Corrections to matters of fact are made promptly on receipt and the review date is updated. Write to editor@exosomestherapy.co.uk with what is wrong and, where possible, a source. This is particularly important for the regulatory pages, where the position can change without notice.
Common questions
Why do you not name any products
Because naming them would imply a comparative assessment we cannot make. The composition of these preparations cannot be independently verified by us or, in most cases, by the clinics using them. Covering the category and refusing to name products is the position that survives that limitation.
Why are all prices given as ranges
Because the treatment is not standardised. Preparation, quantity, practitioner and location all vary, and a single figure would imply a precision that does not exist. Ranges are indicative and are not quotations.
How do you decide what counts as evidence
By study design rather than by conclusion. Laboratory work is described as laboratory work, animal studies as animal studies, and small uncontrolled human studies as small and uncontrolled. A positive result from a weak design is reported as a weak result, not as a finding.
What happens if the regulatory position changes
The pages are updated and the review date changes. Because regulation moves, every regulatory statement on this site directs readers to check the current position with the MHRA rather than relying on a published page alone.
This page contains no commercial links of any kind. No clinic, practitioner, product or supplier is named, recommended or linked to, and nobody has paid for, influenced or previewed anything on it. External links go only to UK regulators and professional bodies and carry a nofollow attribute. Published by Northbank Media under our editorial policy.
